Michael Beasley scored 10 of his 33 points in the last seven minutes, including a game-winning jumper with 2.3 seconds left, to lift the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 113-111 home victory Wednesday over the Los Angeles Clippers, who have lost eight straight games.
Beasley took a sideline inbounds pass at the top of the key and dribbled the clock down before breaking down Ryan Gomes off the dribble, rising up and swishing a right-elbow jumper. A 3-pointer from the left corner by the Clippers' Rasual Butler hit off the front of the rim at the buzzer.
Kevin Love added 24 points and 14 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who shot 53.4 percent from the field to offset a 15-5 deficit in offensive rebounding.
Beasley made 14-of-23 shots. He scored on a drive, long jumper and 3-pointer down the stretch to post his fifth straight game of 25 or more points.
Rookie Blake Griffin tied his season high with 26 points and added 17 rebounds – seven offensive - and Eric Gordon had 30 points and seven assists for the Clippers, who are a league-worst 1-11.
