Mike Leake allowed four hits in eight scoreless innings and the visiting Cincinnati Reds shelled Tim Lincecum in a 10-2 rout of the San Francisco Giants on Saturday.
Leake (6-2) also had a pair of hits and improved to 3-0 in his fourth start since being recalled from the minors. He struck out a career-high eight and walked one.
Joey Votto had three hits, including an RBI double and Brandon Phillips added a two-run double as Cincinnati battered Lincecum (5-5) for seven runs in four-plus innings.
The two-time Cy Young Award winner failed to record an out in a four-run fifth inning and remained winless in three career starts against Cincinnati – the only National League team he has never beaten.
Leake doubled and singled and Ryan Hanigan and Paul Janish had two hits and an RBI apiece as the Reds pounded out 12 hits.
Pat Burrell got the Giants on the board with a two-run homer in the ninth off Carlos Fisher.
