Lamar Jackson passed for two touchdowns and rushed for a third just one day after being removed from the COVID-19 list to help the Baltimore Ravens record a 34-17 victory over the visiting Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday night.
Marquise Brown and Miles Boykin caught touchdown passes as Baltimore (7-5) won for just the second time in the past six games. J.K. Dobbins rushed for a score, and Gus Edwards had 101 rushing yards on just seven carries.
Jackson completed 12 of 17 passes for 107 yards and one interception, and he also rushed for 94 yards on 13 carries. He missed the Ravens' last game against the Pittsburgh Steelers after a positive test for COVID-19.
Andy Dalton completed 31 of 48 passes for 285 yards, two touchdowns and one interception for Dallas (3-9), which lost for the six time in seven games. Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup caught touchdown passes for the Cowboys.
Greg Zuerlein of the Cowboys kicked a 31-yard field goal to open the scoring before later missing from 40, 53 and 52 yards.
Baltimore receiver Dez Bryant was set to play against his former club for the first time until he was pulled off the field about 30 minutes prior to kickoff after testing positive for COVID-19. Linebacker Matthew Judon and tight end Mark Andrews were among the other Ravens who sat out due to a positive COVID-19 test.
Baltimore rolled up 294 rushing yards and outgained the Cowboys 401-388.
Jackson exploded through a wide open center of the field on fourth-and-2 to score from 37 yards out to give the Ravens a 7-3 lead with 25 seconds left in the first quarter.
Dallas answered quickly as Tony Pollard returned the ensuing kickoff 66 yards to the Baltimore 28-yard line. Three plays later, Dalton tossed a 13-yard scoring pass to Gallup to give the Cowboys a 10-7 edge 41 seconds into the second quarter.
The Ravens went back ahead on Jackson's 38-yard touchdown pass to Boykin with 8:08 remaining in the half. Justin Tucker booted a 35-yard field goal with 46 seconds left to account for Baltimore's 17-10 halftime advantage.
Jackson connected with Brown on a 20-yard scoring pass with 4:40 left in the third quarter. Tucker tacked on a 22-yard field to make it 27-10 with 8:15 remaining in the contest.
Dalton threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Cooper with 3:59 left.
Dobbins scored on a 5-yard run to boost the Baltimore lead back to 17 with 2:08 remaining.
