Patriots 27, Jets 25: Tom Brady tossed three touchdown passes, including two to Shane Vereen, as host New England held on for its seventh win in its last eight meetings with New York.

Chris Ivory ran for 107 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries for the Jets (1-6), who dropped their sixth in a row despite racking up 218 rushing yards after managing only 31 in Sunday's loss to Denver. Geno Smith finished 20-of-34 for 226 yards with a touchdown and added 37 yards on the ground.
Brady and Vereen hooked up for a 49-yard TD on the fourth play from scrimmage before New York's defense settled in and the Jets put together three straight drives ending in Nick Folk field goals for a 9-7 lead. Brady's 3-yard TD toss to Vereen capped another 80-yard scoring drive and the teams traded field goals as the Patriots took a 17-12 lead into halftime.
The Jets finally found the end zone on their first possession of the second half as Ivory punched in a 1-yard score to cap an 80-yard drive, but Stephen Gostkowski's 36-yard field goal regained the lead for New England and Brady hit Amendola for a 19-yard score to extend the margin to 27-19. Smith marched the Jets 86 yards in 12 plays and found Jeff Cumberland for a 10-yard TD with 2:31 left, but New York couldn't convert the two-point conversion and Folk's potential game-winner from 58 yards was blocked by Chris Jones as time expired.
