Vladimir Brodziansky scored 16 points on 7-of-7 shooting to lead TCU to a 73-55 victory over Prairie View A&M on Friday in a nonconference game at Fort Worth, Texas.

Senior forward Devonta Abron added 12 points and nine rebounds for the Horned Frogs (5-4). Sophomore guard Malique Trent contributed nine points and six assists for TCU, which led by as many as 27 points in the second half.

Junior forward Admassu Williams had 19 points and 12 rebounds to pace the Panthers (0-8). Freshman forward Tyler Miller scored 12 points for Prairie View, which shot just 34 percent from the field and missed all 10 of its 3-point attempts.

TCU held a 26-23 halftime lead as both teams struggled to put the ball in the basket. The Horned Frogs shot 35 percent in the half while the Panthers connected on just 20.7 percent of their shots.

The Horned Frogs shot 57.7 percent in the second half and started strong by taking a 33-25 lead on a 3-pointer by junior guard Brandon Parrish with 17:54 remaining. An 8-1 run boosted the advantage to 14 with 12:56 to play and Abron's three-point play capped a 10-0 surge that pushed the lead to 65-41 with 5:36 left.

The Panthers held a 17-14 lead with under six minutes to play in the first half but missed their final nine shots. TCU ran off eight straight points during the drought to take the lead for good.
