SMU 75, UCF 56: Ryan Manuel scored 20 points and Nic Moore dished out 10 assists as the host Mustangs pulled away down the stretch for the American Athletic Conference victory.

Moore finished with eight points and Yanick Moreira chipped in with a dozen for SMU (18-4, 9-1 AAC), which shot 59.2 percent from the field. Markus Kennedy came off the bench to score 13 points for the Mustangs, who have won eight straight.

Adonys Henriquez led all scorers with 22 points but was the only Knight to reach double figures as UCF (9-12, 2-8) lost its fifth straight game. Staphon Blair added nine points and eight rebounds for the Knights, who played their second straight game without leading scorer B.J. Taylor (concussion).

Moore had seven assists before the break and SMU led 36-30 at intermission. The Mustangs led throughout but were unable to open things up as Henriquez had 14 points in the first half.

SMU, which never trailed, saw its lead cut to three points on two occasions in the second half, the final one coming on a layup by McBride with 13:14 left. SMU responded with a three-point play by Moore and a driving layup by Kennedy to build a 51-43 advantage and the Knights never got closer than five the rest of the way.
