Kansas State 74, No. 18 Texas 57: Marcus Foster scored a career-high 34 points to go along with three assists as the Wildcats overpowered the visiting Longhorns.
Foster finished 13-of-16 from the field and knocked down five 3-pointers for Kansas State (16-7, 6-4 Big 12), which has won 12 straight games at Bramlage Coliseum. Wesley Iwundu contributed eight points, eight assists and three steals while Thomas Gipson grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds for the Wildcats, who shot 52.8 percent from the floor.
Isaiah Taylor led the way with 17 points and three steals while Cameron Ridley secured a team-high seven rebounds for Texas (18-5, 7-3), which saw its seven-game winning streak snapped despite finishing 16-of-18 from the free-throw line. Leading scorer Jonathan Holmes was held to only two points before leaving the game with a knee injury in the first half for the Longhorns, who shot 32.7 percent from the floor.
Foster scored 10 early points as Kansas State jumped out to an 18-4 lead before extending its advantage to 19 with fewer than four minutes left in the first half. The Wildcats held Texas to 25 percent shooting and forced 10 turnovers in the opening 20 minutes to pull ahead 39-18.
Taylor's jumper cut the deficit to 50-34 before Foster nailed a 3-pointer and scored on a layup to help Kansas State regain its 21-point cushion with about 11 minutes remaining in the second half. Foster's driving layup put the Wildcats on top 64-38 and they went on to record one of their most impressive wins of the season.
