Temple 77, Saint Joseph's 69: Anthony Lee's double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds featured several big plays down the stretch as the host Owls defeated their Philadelphia rival.

Will Cummings and Dalton Pepper scored 16 points apiece to lead the Owls (4-3), who have won three straight games. Quenton DeCosey chipped in 10 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals off the bench.

Langston Galloway's 24 points paced the Hawks (4-3), while DeAndre Bembry (12 points, nine rebounds) and Halil Kanacevic (11 points, nine boards) narrowly missed double-doubles. Galloway did not commit any turnovers, though Saint Joseph's finished with 15 as a team and dished out only 10 assists.

Neither team led by more than five points during a first half that ended with Temple ahead 39-34. Throughout most of the second half, five points remained the largest lead for the Owls, although the Hawks constantly responded - usually behind Galloway - to keep the game close.

Galloway's 3-pointer with 4:29 remaining knotted the game at 65 before two layups by Lee and a free throw by DeCosey gave Temple some breathing room. Ronald Roberts sliced the Hawks' deficit to 70-67 with his layup with 42 seconds showing on the clock, but Lee made 3-of-4 foul shots down the stretch to cement the victory.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Neither team shot particularly well from 3-point range, as Saint Joseph's was 6-of-26, while Temple finished 5-of-17. Aside from Galloway shooting 6-of-12 from 3-point range, every other player in the game combined to shoot 5-of-31 from long range ... Roberts scored 11 of his 13 points to lead all scorers in the first half. ... Saint Joseph's received two points from its bench, while Temple's reserves contributed 25 points.
