Gibbs went 7 of 11 from the floor, including 5 of 5 from beyond the arc and 6 of 6 from the free-throw line, for the Panthers (21-2, 9-1 Big East), who maintained their two-game lead over the rest of the field in the Big East.

The Bearcats had one last charge, using a 14-2 run over the next four minutes to crawl within 10 points with 3:12 on the clock.
It was a free throw battle after that, and the Panthers converted 8 of 10 over the final 2:20 to hold off Cincinnati.
