Jimmy Butler scored 20 points, leading four players in double figures, as Marquette cruised to an 82-69 victory over South Dakota on Saturday afternoon in Milwaukee, Wisc.

Marquette (4-0) never trailed after jumping out to an 8-0 lead in the game’s first 3:41. The Golden Eagles led 43-29 at the half, buoyed by a 14-0 point differential at the foul line and a 28-14 advantage in rebounding, and essentially sealed the outcome with a run of 10 consecutive points that made it 59-37 with 12:02 remaining.

Butler added nine rebounds - six offensive, four assists and three rebounds. Chris Otule finished with 15 points for Marquette, while Darius Johnson-Odom had 14 and Dwight Buycks contributed 11.

Five different players reached double digits in scoring for South Dakota (1-2), led by Charlie Westbrook with 17 points. Jake Thomas, Louie Krogman and Mitchell Bouie added 11 points apiece.
