Austin Nola drove in two runs -- including the go-ahead RBI in the seventh inning -- leading the host San Diego Padres to a 6-5 win over the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night.

The Padres needed eight pitchers to nail down their fourth straight win. Their seventh pitcher, Drew Pomeranz, left the game in the eighth due to an apparent injury.

Miguel Rojas and Jorge Alfaro each had two RBIs for the Marlins, who lost their fifth straight game. It's the second-longest skid of Miami's season.

Pierce Johnson (3-2) recorded one out and got the win. Mark Melancon pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings, earning his 34th save in 39 chances.

Richard Bleier (2-2) took the loss, allowing one run in two-thirds of an inning.

Miami scored three runs in the first inning on a rally that started with Jesus Aguilar's hard-hit single to left. Two straight bloop singles -- by Isan Diaz and Lewis Brinson -- made it 1-0. Alfaro's two-out double made it 3-0.

San Diego answered with two runs in the bottom of the first. After the first two batters struck out, Manny Machado singled, and Jake Cronenworth and Nola followed with RBI doubles.

Both teams scored one run in the second inning. For Miami, Magneuris Sierra doubled and scored on Rojas' single. For San Diego, Wil Myers singled, went to third on Trent Grisham's single and scored on pinch-hitter Brian O'Grady's groundout.

The Padres loaded the bases with no outs in the fourth as Eric Hosmer doubled, Myers walked and Grisham blooped a broken-bat single. San Diego tied the score on Braxton Garrett's wild pitch in the dirt and took a 5-4 lead on Tommy Pham's infield single. Marlins third baseman Brian Anderson fielded Pham's grounder and tried to nail Hosmer at the plate, but his throw was wide and late.

Miami tied the score in the seventh as Sierra singled and scored on Rojas' two-out double to the right-field corner.

But the Padres went up 6-5 in the bottom of the seventh as Adam Frazier singled, advanced to second on Machado's groundout and scored on Nola's two-out single.

Miami threatened in the ninth as Sandy Leon pulled a leadoff double down the right-field line. But Melancon got the next three batters to end the game.
