Angels 11, Rockies 5: Mike Trout continued his hot hitting with three hits, two RBIs and three runs scored, and Albert Pujols homered and drove in a season-high four runs as visiting Los Angeles routed Colorado.
The Angels improved to 8-2 all-time at Coors Field and have won the first two games of the three-game series. Colorado has lost four straight and five of seven overall.
Trout went 3-for-5, as he singled and scored in the first, second and fourth innings.
Pujols opened the scoring with a sacrifice fly in the first, added an RBI single in the second and hit a two-run blast to the opposite field in the sixth.
Torii Hunter, Howie Kendrick and Alberto Callaspo also had three hits for the Angels. Hunter scored three times while Kendrick scored one run and drove in another.
All the Rockies' scoring came on solo home runs - two by Tyler Colvin and one each from Marco Scutaro, Carlos Gonzalez and Chris Nelson.
The first four solo blasts came against starter Dan Haren (4-6), who allowed 10 hits and struck out four in 5 1/3 innings.
Former Rockies ace Jeff Francis (0-1) didn't fare well in his first major-league start of the season, allowing eight runs on 10 hits over 3 1/3 innings in his return to Coors Field after pitching in Kansas City last season and for Triple-A Louisville in the Reds organization earlier this season.
