Elias Pettersson scored in his second consecutive multi-point game to lead the host Vancouver Canucks to a 3-1 victory over the Calgary Flames on Tuesday.
Erik Brannstrom also recorded one goal and one assist for the Canucks, who won on home ice for only the second time this season (2-2-3). Pius Suter scored once, and J.T. Miller collected a pair of assists.
Goaltender Kevin Lankinen made 28 saves to record the victory.
Justin Kirkland scored for the Flames, who received a 29-save performance from goaltender Dan Vladar.
With his team down 1-0 after the first period, Pettersson tallied a power-play goal to put the Canucks on the board 23 seconds into the second period. Pettersson headed to the net as Miller sent a shot-pass that he perfectly deflected for his fourth goal of the season and second in as many outings.
Suter gave the hosts the lead at 2:38 of the middle frame by taking a pass from Miller as he reached the slot and sliding a low shot into the cage for his sixth goal of the campaign.
Brannstrom's first goal of the season -- and his first in 44 games -- extended Vancouver's edge to 3-1 at 6:19 of the third period. With a screen in front of the net, Brannstrom found the corner with a long offering.
The Flames, who were playing for the third time in four days, were unable to mount much of a comeback push, even with Vladar pulled for an extra attacker during the final two minutes of the game.
Kirkland's second goal of the season, coming with 59.4 seconds remaining in the first period, opened the scoring. Lankinen denied Kevin Rooney's chance off the rush, but Kirkland was on the spot for the rebound.
It marked the eighth consecutive game in which Vancouver has surrendered the first goal.
Canucks 2022 first-round draft choice Jonathan Lekkerimaki made his NHL debut. He was held off the scoresheet offensively.
