Erik Karlsson scored at 1:42 of overtime to give the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins a 4-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night.

Rickard Rakell scored two goals, Lars Eller had a goal and an assist, Sidney Crosby registered two assists and Tristan Jarry made 32 saves for Pittsburgh, which has won three in a row for the first time since Dec. 27-31.

J.T. Miller had a goal and an assist, Nils Hoglander and Brock Boeser also scored and Thatcher Demko turned away 36 shots for Vancouver, which has lost five of its past six games (1-4-1).

Demko made his final save in overtime on Eller before Karlsson put in the rebound.

Jarry made back-to-back saves on slap shots by Tyler Myers before Hoglander scored on the second rebound to give Vancouver a 1-0 lead at 10:23 of the first period.

The Canucks executed a tic-tac-toe play on their second man advantage to extend the lead to 2-0 at 17:43 of the opening period. Filip Hronek fed Miller, who made a touch pass to Boeser, and the winger scored with a one-timer from the inside edge of the right circle.

Pittsburgh cut it to 2-1 at 2:13 of the second period.

The Canucks turned the puck over in their end and it came to Crosby in the slot. He made a touch pass to Rakell, who slipped by Myers before scoring in close to give him goals in consecutive games.

Vancouver committed two minor penalties three seconds apart later in the middle period, and Rakell scored off another short feed from Crosby on the five-on-three to tie it 2-2 at 9:36.

Miller won a battle for the puck in the neutral zone against Kris Letang and scored on a short-handed breakaway during the remaining penalty to move the Canucks back ahead 3-2 at 10:05 of the second.

That score remained until Eller found room to drive to the net and score with a wrist shot from the inside edge of the right circle to tie it 3-3 at 9:45 of the third period.

The Penguins were without two of their top three goal-scorers. Jake Guentzel missed his sixth straight game with an upper-body injury, and Bryan Rust is week to week with an upper-body injury sustained in the third period of Pittsburgh's 7-6 victory against the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday.
