No. 23 Iowa 93, Northwestern 67: Aaron White had 18 points, 10 rebounds and five assists as the Hawkeyes extended their home win streak to 19 games.
Melsahn Basabe added 16 points on 5-of-5 shooting and 10 rebounds and Roy Devyn Marble had 15 points, six assists and four steals for Iowa (13-3, 2-1 Big Ten). Adam Woodbury chipped in 10 points for the Hawkeyes, who shot 64.3 percent in the second half to pull away.
JerShon Cobb led Northwestern (7-9, 0-3) with 18 points and seven rebounds. Drew Crawford added 12 points for the Wildcats, who were outrebounded 41-28.
The Hawkeyes scored the first 10 points of the game and Mike Gesell and Jarrod Uthoff hit back-to-back 3-pointers for a 26-15 lead with just under eight minutes left in the first half. White later scored eight straight points - all from the free-throw line - for a 14-point lead with 2 1/2 minutes left and the Hawkeyes led 41-26 at halftime.
Marble hit a 3-pointer while Iowa hit six of its first seven shots of the second half on the way to a 57-37 lead just over five minutes into the session. Northwestern got within 17 on Tre Demps' jumper with 6 1/2 left, but Iowa sealed the rout with a 15-1 run over the next four minutes.
