Fresno State placekicker Dylan Lynch and cornerback Carlton Johnson tied school records with Lynch's five made field goals and Johnson's three interceptions in the Bulldogs' 29-0 victory Saturday over an injury-riddled Arizona State team at Tempe, Ariz.
Arizona State, playing under first-year coach Kenny Dillingham, was shut out at home for the first time since 1988, when USC beat the Sun Devils 50-0.
It is the first time Arizona State was blanked since USC beat the Sun Devils 28-0 in Los Angeles in 2008.
The Sun Devils (1-2) had eight turnovers in their 13 possessions.
Fresno State (3-0) increased its winning streak to 12 games, the second longest in the nation behind Georgia's run of 20 consecutive wins.
The Bulldogs, who opened the season with a win at Purdue, have also defeated two Power 5 teams in the same season for the first time since 2018.
Starting quarterback Jaden Rashada did not suit up for Arizona State because of an undisclosed injury.
Trenton Bourguet, who started in Rashada's place, left in the first quarter with a leg injury.
Third-string quarterback Drew Pyne, a transfer from Notre Dame, also left the game with an undisclosed injury after throwing two interceptions while completing 5 of 13 pass attempts for 52 yards.
Jacob Conover, a transfer from BYU, finished the game and was 6 of 16 for 89 yards and two interceptions.
Fresno State quarterback Mikey Keene, a Central Florida transfer who is from nearby Chandler, Ariz., tied a career high with 32 completions in 48 attempts.
He threw for 281 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions.
Erik Brooks had 11 receptions for 104 yards for the Bulldogs.
Keene led the Bulldogs on a touchdown drive in the first possession of the game.
The eight-play, 75-yard drive was capped by Keene's 19-yard touchdown pass to Jalen Moss.
Lynch made field goals of 39, 30 and 29 yards the rest of the first half to take a 16-0 lead into halftime.
Keene connected with Jaelen Gill for a 42-yard touchdown to complete Fresno State's first possession of the second half.
Lynch later converted from 50 and 33 yards.
