Twins 6, Indians 4: Liam Hendriks won his first major league game in his 18th start and Josh Willingham homered among his four hits and had four RBIs as visiting Minnesota continued its mastery of Cleveland.

Hendriks (1-7), who became the fifth pitcher since 1920 to go winless in his first 17 starts, allowed two runs and two hits in six innings as the Twins won their fifth straight against the Indians and sent them into the American League Central cellar. Minnesota (62-87) has won 12 of the last 14 meetings with Cleveland (61-88).

Willingham's two-run homer - his 35th of the season - broke a 2-2 tie in the fifth inning. His RBI single in the third capped a string of four consecutive hits and gave the Twins a 2-1 lead and his two-out single in the sixth produced his 110th RBI of the season and put Minnesota in front 6-2.

Jamey Carroll had three hits, rookie catcher Chris Herrmann recorded his first career RBI and Joe Mauer added a run-scoring single for the Twins. Glen Perkins worked around a one-out single in the ninth inning for his 13th save in 16 chances, and second in as many nights.

Cleveland's Zach McAllister (5-8) fell to 1-6 in his last 10 outings and 0-3 lifetime against Minnesota. He allowed four runs and eight hits in 4/13 innings. Jason Kipnis had two RBIs and Asdrubal Cabrera homered in the first inning before leaving in the eighth with right wrist soreness as the Indians fell to 2-11 in their last 13 at home and 7-26 in their last 33 overall.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Twins have stolen 26 consecutive bases without getting caught. ... The record for winless starts to begin a career is 20, set by the Chicago Cubs' Bill Caudill (1979-81) and Oakland's Mike Mohler (1993-97). Hendriks, a native of Perth, Australia, was 0-2 in four starts in 2011. ... Indians DH Travis Hafner played his first game since Aug. 5 and went 0-for-3 with a walk, including a strikeout representing the go-ahead run in the eighth inning. He was on the disabled list with lower back inflammation.
