Diamondbacks 11, Mets 5: Willie Bloomquist and Chris Young drove in two runs apiece and host Arizona scored six runs in the second inning to snap out of its offensive funk.
After scoring only three runs over their last two games, Arizona exploded for 11 runs and 13 hits against the Mets, who have lost 13 of their last 15 games.
Arizona sent nine batters to the plate and scored six runs on five singles in the second against Jonathon Niese (7-5), who matched a career high by giving up eight runs (six earned) over six innings.
David Wright hit a three-run homer and Ike Davis added a solo shot for the Mets, who were unable to win back-to-back games for the first time in a month.
Wright’s blast cut the Diamondbacks’ lead to 6-5 in the third inning, but Arizona answered with single runs in the fourth and fifth innings.
The Diamondbacks drew clear in the seventh when Upton singled home a run and Young followed with a two-run double.
Arizona's Josh Collmenter (3-2) allowed five runs over six innings and improved to 3-0 over his last five starts.
