Blue Jays 2, Twins 1: Brandon Morrow pitched eight innings of three-hit ball and Rajai Davis and Adeiny Hechavarria contributed run-scoring singles as Toronto closed a disappointing season with at three-game sweep of visiting Minnesota.

Morrow (10-7) struck out 11 and walked three. The Twins' lone run came in the fourth, when a single and two walks loaded the bases ahead of Matt Carson's RBI groundout.

Brandon Lyon pitched around a one-out single in the ninth for his first save of the season.

Morrow's gem spoiled Twins left-hander Scott Diamond's first start in his native Canada. Diamond (12-9) allowed two runs on five hits over five innings, finishing the season with a 3.54 ERA.

The Blue Jays gave Morrow a 2-0 lead in the third, when Anthony Gose's two-out triple started a rally. Davis and Hechavarria followed with consecutive singles for a 2-0 lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Twins C/DH Joe Mauer played in his 147th game of the season, surpassing his career high of 146 in 2008. … Blue Jays INF Omar Vizquel drew big applause after an over-the-shoulder catch and a standing ovation after a single in his final at-bat. Vizquel is retiring after 24 seasons in the majors. … Toronto won five of seven meetings this season, taking the season series from the Twins for the seventh consecutive year.
