Flyers 2, Penguins 1: Brayden Schenn scored twice as visiting Philadelphia edged Pittsburgh for its third straight win.
Schenn's first multi-goal game since Feb. 23 made a winner out of Ray Emery, who stopped 30 shots to help the Flyers post their first three-game winning streak of the season. The victory also halted Philadelphia's three-game skid in the head-to-head series.
Sidney Crosby scored for the Penguins, who have dropped three straight. Marc-Andre Fleury made 19 saves in defeat.
Schenn opened the scoring with 3:58 remaining in the first period, gathering a Wayne Simmonds pass near the left hashmark and whistling a wrist shot off the left post and in past Fleury. The Penguins drew even on a power play at 8:29 of the second as Evgeni Malkin's centering pass from the side boards was redirected from the low slot by a wide-open Crosby.
Philadelphia surged back in front with 1:20 left in the period as Schenn banged home a loose puck that glanced off the right post. The Flyers held on from there, withstanding extended pressure with the Pittsburgh net empty for the final 1:20.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Penguins appeared to have scored just 19 seconds into the game, but officials ruled that Chris Kunitz kicked the puck past Emery and the goal was waved off. ... Emery preserved Philadelphia's one-goal lead in the final moments of the second period, stretching out the left pad to make a pair of sensational saves from in close. ... Malkin hasn't scored in 11 games.
