Raiders 21, Steelers 18: Terrelle Pryor ran for 106 yards and a touchdown and Darren McFadden scored twice as host Oakland knocked off Pittsburgh.
Pryor ripped off a 93-yard touchdown run but was held to 87 yards on 10-of-19 passing while being intercepted twice for the Raiders (3-4). McFadden ran for 73 yards on 24 carries for Oakland, which overcame three turnovers.
Ben Roethlisberger went 29-for-45 for 275 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions as the Steelers (2-5) had a modest two-game winning streak come to an end. Le’Veon Bell ran for a 2-yard touchdown with 1:24 left to make it a one-possession game, but Oakland recovered the onside kick and Pittsburgh ran out of time on its last chance.
Pryor began the game with the longest run by a quarterback in NFL history, breaking through after the Raiders were called for a penalty on the opening kickoff. Oakland blocked a punt later in the first to set up a 7-yard touchdown run by McFadden that made it a 14-0 lead.
McFadden added a 4-yard scoring run on a direct snap with 1:55 left in the second to send the Raiders into the break with a 21-3 edge. The Steelers finally found the end zone in the fourth quarter, when Roethlisberger and Emmanuel Sanders made Oakland pay for a lost fumble with a 9-yard scoring pass to cut it to 21-10.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Pryor’s run was the longest in Raiders history, topping Bo Jackson’s 92-yard run against the Cincinnati Bengals on Nov. 5, 1989. … The Steelers had T Guy Whimper (knee), G Ramon Foster (concussion) and G David DeCastro (ankle) all go down with injuries. … Pittsburgh K Shaun Suisham hit a 47-yard field goal but missed from 34 and 32 yards.
