Xavier 83, DePaul 64: Justin Martin scored a career-best 22 points and Dee Davis added 17 points and seven assists as the host Musketeers cruised past the struggling Blue Demons in Big East play.

Semaj Christon added 14 points and seven assists as Xavier (18-8, 8-5) improved to 14-1 at home. The Musketeers shot 64.3 percent from the field and went 8-of-10 from 3-point range while completing a season sweep of DePaul.

Billy Garrett Jr. scored 16 points and Forrest Robinson added 14 for the Blue Demons (10-17, 2-12), who lost their ninth consecutive game. Brandon Young scored 12 points but was just 3-of-16 from the field as DePaul shot 35.8 percent as a team.

Xavier led by 12 at halftime and put the game away with a 14-0 run to start the second half to make it 53-27 with under 16 1/2 minutes to play. The Blue Demons have lost by double digits eight times during their skid and have dropped their last three by an average of 22.3 points.

The Musketeers led 16-2 eight minutes in as DePaul missed 10 of its first 11 shots. Xavier’s first-half advantage topped out at 17 points en route to a 39-27 lead at the break.
