Alabama 82, LSU 80: Trevor Releford scored a game-high 21 points and Shannon Hale had a season-high 17 to lift the host Crimson Tide over its Southeastern Conference rival.
Rodney Cooper finished with 19 points, including four 3-pointers, and Levi Randolph had 14 off the bench for Alabama (9-10, 3-3). The Crimson Tide snapped a two-game losing streak and shot 27-of-52 from the floor.
Johnny O'Bryant III scored 18 points and Shavon Coleman had 13 for LSU (12-6, 3-3). Andre Stringer had 12 points off the bench and Jordan Mickey added 11.
Alabama went on a 28-6 run after missing its first five shots to start the game and Releford led the charge with 17 points in the first half. LSU trailed 36-23 at the break on 9-of-28 shooting and committed nine turnovers.
The Tigers cut the lead to two on a 9-0 run inside of 10 minutes, erasing a 19-point deficit in the second half. Stringer was fouled beyond the arc and made all three free throws to put LSU within a point in the final seconds, but Cooper sank a key free throw on the ensuing possession and had the game-saving block on Anthony Hickey.
