Virginia Tech 70, Georgia Tech 65 (OT): Erick Green scored 28 points as the visiting Hokies rallied from five points down in the final 2:33 of regulation to tie and beat the Yellow Jackets in overtime.

Green, the nation's leading scorer, made two free throws with 24 seconds left to tie the game at 55 and scored four points in overtime for Virginia Tech (10-6, 1-2 ACC). C.J. Barksdale added his first-career double-double with 11 points and a career-high 10 rebounds and Robert Brown chipped in 10 points.

Robert Carter Jr. led Georgia Tech (10-5, 0-3) with 12 points, Mfon Udofia and Marcus Georges-Hunt scored 11 each and Chris Bolden tallied 10. Daniel Miller logged a game-high 11 rebounds.

The Yellow Jackets held Green to just eight first-half points en route to a 25-22 lead at intermission. Green scored 16 in the second half as the Hokies outrebounded Georgia Tech 20-12 in the frame.

A Barksdale free throw and Cadarian Raines jumper pulled Virginia Tech within 55-53 with 1:05 left in regulation. The Hokies scored the first seven points in overtime and, after a Udofia 3-pointer cut the Georgia Tech deficit to 64-63 with 54 seconds left, Brown made a layup before Jarell Eddie and Green went 2-for-2 from the foul line to seal the win.
