No. 1 Indiana 99, Sam Houston State 45: Christian Watford scored 23 points off the bench and Will Sheehey added 18 as the Hoosiers rolled over the visiting Bearkats in the Progressive Legends Classic.
Victor Oladipo had 14 points and seven rebounds and Cody Zeller added 13 points and seven boards for Indiana (3-0), which outrebounded Sam Houston State 41-20 and finished with a 24-5 assists advantage. The Hoosiers attempted 44 free throws to the Bearkats' 12.
Paul Baxter scored nine points for Sam Houston State (1-2), which shot 30.2 percent from the field, including 5-for-26 (19.2 percent) from 3-point range. Indiana shot 56.6 percent from the floor.
Jordan Hulls reached 1,000 career points with a 3-pointer to give Indiana an 82-38 lead with 7:09 remaining. Hulls finished with 10 points.
The Hoosiers put the game away early, taking a 16-2 lead en route to a 52-25 halftime advantage. Indiana finished the game on a 27-7 run.
