Celtics 90, Trail Blazers 89: Evan Turner nailed a go-ahead 3-pointer with one second left as Boston stunned host Portland.

Turner finished with 10 points, eight assists and six rebounds while Avery Bradley scored 18 for the Celtics, who snapped a 24-game road losing streak to Western Conference opponents. Jared Sullinger had 17 points and nine rebounds while Brandon Bass recorded his first double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds for Boston.

Damian Lillard had 21 points and seven assists but could not get off a shot at the buzzer as the Trail Blazers fell for the fifth time in the last six games. Wesley Matthews scored 18 points, Chris Kaman added 13 and nine rebounds and Thomas Robinson grabbed 12 boards while starting in place of LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) for Portland.

Sullinger’s putback capped a 10-3 run for the Celtics and knotted the game at 87 with 1:55 to play before Matthews and Robinson each split a pair of free throws to give the Trail Blazers a two-point edge. Sullinger missed a 3-point on Boston’s first chance to take the lead but fought for a loose ball and whipped the pass out to Turner, who buried the game-winner from the right wing.

The Celtics led by as much as six points in the second quarter and took a 44-42 lead into the break before Matthews got hot and buried four 3-pointers in the third quarter. Lillard’s driving dunk just before the buzzer sent the Trail Blazers into the fourth up 72-67, and his fadeaway jumper with 5:45 left gave Portland an 84-77 cushion.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Blazers learned earlier in the day that Aldridge would miss 6-to-8 weeks with a torn ligament in his left thumb. … Celtics C Kelly Olynyk rolled his right ankle midway through the fourth quarter and did not return. … Portland F Nicolas Batum, who scored a season-high 27 points in Phoenix on Wednesday, was held scoreless on 0-of-6 shooting in 22 minutes.
