76ers 108, Pistons 101 (OT): Robert Covington scored a career-high 25 points and Michael Carter-Williams had 20 and 15 assists as visiting Philadelphia rallied to send Detroit to its 11th straight loss.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute had 14 points and a season high-tying 11 rebounds for the 76ers, who have won two of three following an 0-17 start. Hollis Thompson highlighted a 13-point effort with a game-tying 3-pointer in the closing seconds of regulation.

Josh Smith scored 23 points but split two free throws prior to Thompson's big shot as the Pistons tumbled to their eight straight home defeat. Kyle Singler tied a season high with 21 points and Greg Monroe chipped in 15 off the bench for Detroit, which scored one point in overtime.

The first basket of the extra session came on Henry Sims' jumper with 1:57 left that gave the 76ers a 102-101 lead and Nerlens Noel made it a three-point game with a basket with 29 seconds to go. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who had the Pistons' only point in the additional five minutes, missed twice from beyond the arc on the ensuing possession and Philadelphia was able to seal it at the line.

Detroit led by seven after Cartier Martin's basket with 7:09 to go in regulation before it endured a scoreless stretch of more than five minutes, falling behind 95-94 on a layup by Carter-Williams with 2:17 left. Singler had a three-point play to end the drought and Smith scored with a minute left, but Thompson got open in the corner with 13 seconds left to tie it at 100 and Brandon Jennings was off at the buzzer for the Pistons.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Singler capped a 12-point first half with a basket in the final minute to get Detroit within 54-51 at intermission and the Pistons scored the first seven points of the third quarter before leading for much of the second half. ... Jennings and Caldwell-Pope each shot 2-for-10 and combined to miss all five of their 3-point tries. ... 76ers SG K.J. McDaniels had six points, six rebounds, four blocks and two steals off the bench.
