Spurs 112, Mavericks 106: Tony Parker had 22 points and seven assists in his return from injuries as host San Antonio knocked off Dallas.
Tim Duncan had 17 points and nine rebounds and Kawhi Leonard scored 16 points as the Spurs won for the sixth time in seven games. Manu Ginobili had 15 points and seven assists and Boris Diaw contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds as San Antonio defeated the Mavericks for the third straight time this season and eighth consecutive time overall.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 22 points and Vince Carter added 21 off the bench for Dallas, which lost its second straight game following a 10-2 stretch. Monta Ellis added 17 points and eight assists.
Dallas trailed by nine with under two minutes left before Carter and Ellis hit shots to bring the Mavericks within 104-99 with 1:19 remaining. Parker answered with a driving hoop with 45.2 seconds to play and Ginobili made five of six free throws in a 20-second span to help the Spurs finish off the win.
San Antonio led 48-47 at the break and took an 11-point lead late in the third quarter when Ginobili scored all 10 during a 10-2 run. The advantage was seven entering the final stanza and reached 88-78 with 8:55 left after four straight points by Tiago Splitter.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Parker sat out the previous six games due to shin, groin, hamstring, back and hand injuries. … Mavericks C Samuel Dalembert grabbed 10 rebounds for his fourth double-digit outing on the boards in five games. … San Antonio has won the past seven home meetings in the series.
