DeMarcus Cousins scored 13 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter as the Sacramento Kings stunned the Phoenix Suns, 94-89, on Sunday.
Francisco Garcia added 20 points and Omri Casspi hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with under a minute to play for the Kings, who outscored the Suns 29-16 in the fourth quarter.
After managing just 39 points in the first half and trailing 79-65 early in the fourth, Sacramento began to creep back into the game. Cousins cut it to single digits with a pair of free throws with 6:50 left but Phoenix looked to be in good shape after pushing it back to 87-75.
Pooh Jeter’s jumper with 5:31 left got the ball rolling, and the Kings outscored the Suns 19-2 the rest of the way to steal the victory. Cousins tied it with a three-point play with 1:47 left and Casspi drained a 3-pointer with 25 seconds to go to give Sacramento its first lead since the 11:26 mark of the first quarter.
Steve Nash finished 8-of-8 from the floor for 20 points and added 12 assists, and Vince Carter scored 17 for Phoenix, which was outrebounded 60-32.
