Stars 7, Flames 3: Tyler Seguin scored a franchise record-tying four goals and captain Jamie Benn registered a career-high six points as Dallas extended its road winning streak to five games.

Seguin added an assist for a career-best five points while Benn scored a goal and set up five others for the Stars, who have won six of seven away from home. Defenseman Stephane Robidas and Ryan Garbutt also tallied, blue-liner Alex Goligoski collected three assists and Kari Lehtonen made 25 saves.

Matt Stajan scored twice and David Jones recorded a goal and an assist for the Flames, whose winless streak reached five games (0-4-1). Reto Berra allowed four goals on 17 shots before being replaced by Karri Ramo, who stopped 12-of-15 shots.

After Robidas opened the scoring 6 1/2 minutes into the contest, Dallas erupted for four goals in the first 11:56 of the second period to take a commanding lead. Seguin began the onslaught at 1:19 by burying his own rebound on the doorstep and set up Benn for a nifty backhand tally just over three minutes later for a 3-0 advantage.

Seguin converted a cross-slot feed from Benn at 8:32 to chase Berra and notched his second career hat trick by grabbing a rebound below the left faceoff circle and beating Ramo 30 seconds into the third. The 21-year-old scored a power-play goal with 3:39 remaining to complete the first four-goal performance by a Star in nearly six years.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Seguin, whose first hat trick came on Nov. 5, 2011 at Toronto while with Boston, is the first Star to score four times in a game since Nov. 16, 2007, when Jussi Jokinen accomplished the feat. The hat trick was the first for the franchise since Steve Ott tallied three times against San Jose on March 31, 2010. ... Benn's six-point performance was the first by a Star since Mike Modano on Feb. 1, 1995. ... Dallas is 7-2-2 over its last 11 games but has gone 3-for-38 on the power play during that stretch.
