O.G. Anunoby scored six of his 10 points in overtime and the visiting Toronto Raptors defeated the New York Knicks 123-121 Monday afternoon.
Anunoby's second 3-pointer of the overtime gave Toronto a five-point lead with 2:48 to play. Jalen Brunson cut the margin to three with a jumper, but Pascal Siakam made a dunk and a foul shot to bring the lead to six.
Julius Randle's layup trimmed the gap to four, and RJ Barrett's free throws cut the margin to two with 32.2 seconds to go. Brunson missed a 3-point attempt in the final second of overtime.
Fred VanVleet scored 33 points for the Raptors, who won for the second time this season at New York. Scottie Barnes added 26 points, Siakam had 20 points, eight rebounds and nine assists before fouling out in overtime and Gary Trent Jr. added 18 points.
Barrett scored 32 points for the Knicks, including a buzzer-beating dunk to force overtime.
Randle had 21 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists, but he couldn't keep New York from seeing its three-game winning streak end. Brunson added 26 points, Immanuel Quickley had 14 points, Mitchell Robinson scored 11 and Quentin Grimes scored 10.
The Knicks led by six points entering the fourth quarter. Quickley's two free throws bumped the lead to 10 with 9:04 remaining in the quarter before Toronto rallied.
VanVleet scored five straight points to tie the game with 1:29 to play. Toronto took a one-point lead on a layup and a free throw by Barnes with 1:01 left. Randle made one of two free throws to tie the game, and Brunson made one of two free throws with 18.8 seconds to go. Barnes made two free throws with 12.1 seconds left and Toronto led by one.
Barnes made one free throw with 6.6 seconds left, but he missed the second. Barrett took the rebound the length of the court for a dunk that tied the game at 110 in the final second of regulation.
VanVleet's 3-pointer gave Toronto a 10-point lead with 6:30 to play in the second quarter, but the Knicks moved ahead 59-56 at halftime.
Quickley's 3-pointer completed the third-quarter scoring and gave New York an 87-81 lead.
