AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Jabari Parker had a much different feeling about his team on Wednesday.
The Milwaukee Bucks forward said his team panicked when it squandered a 10-point, fourth-quarter lead in Washington on Monday.
There was no reason for concern in their latest outing, as the Bucks dismantled the floundering Detroit Pistons.
Parker racked up 31 points, nine rebounds and seven assists and the Bucks took control late in the first half and cruised to a 119-94 victory at The Palace.
Parker, who was two points off his season high, reached the 20-point mark in six of his last eight games.
"Definitely, we did a good job playing together," Parker said. "It was real fun seeing each other do well. It's definitely a confidence booster. We let that one (on Monday) slip out of our hands but we learned from our mistakes."
Giannis Antetokounmpo supplied 23 points, eight assists and five rebounds for the Bucks (15-15). Ex-Pistons center Greg Monroe contributed 14 points, six assists and five rebounds off the bench.
Milwaukee shot 57.1 percent from the field and dished out a season-high 36 assists.
"It was one of those games from start to finish where our energy was high for 48 minutes and we moved the ball for 48 minutes," Milwaukee coach Jason Kidd said. "On the defensive end, we got stops when we had to."
The combination of Parker and Antetokounmpo was too much for the Pistons to handle. Antetokounmpo assisted on three of four consecutive Bucks 3-pointers late in the first half when Milwaukee took control.
"We just feed off each other," Parker said. "We put each other in good positions. I do the same for him, kick it out every time I see him flash open."
Tony Snell and Matthew Dellavedova added 11 points apiece for Milwaukee, which is 1-1 on its four-game road trip.
Tobias Harris led the Pistons with 23 points and 12 rebounds off the bench. Harris scored 20-plus points in three consecutive games since he was removed from the starting lineup.
Pistons center Andre Drummond had 16 points and nine rebounds, while Reggie Jackson added 14 points and six assists. The Pistons lost six of their last seven games.
"I didn't feel like we went out there and executed our game plan to try and stop them," Jackson said. "They got everything that they wanted."
Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy put the blame for the poor outing on his shoulders.
"It's on me," he said. "I'm not going to come in here and blister the players or anything else. Our team has had too many of these. It's on me and I am responsible. I have to figure out what needs to be done. Quite honestly, I am embarrassed. Not by my players, but by me and my performance, I am not getting it done."
Detroit trailed by six after scoring the first basket of the second half but Milwaukee eventually built its lead to 19 later in the quarter. Antetokounmpo and Michael Beasley converted fast-break dunks off Pistons turnovers. A Parker trey pushed the Bucks' lead to 16 and Snell made it 88-69 with another three from the wing.
Milwaukee was still up 90-75 entering the fourth. The Pistons never made a run in the final 12 minutes.
"It was definitely big for us," Monroe said. "We did a good job of coming out in the second half and playing even better in my eyes. The ball kept moving, we were making the right plays and helping each other on defense. Whenever we're getting stops, getting out in transition and getting the ball up the court quick, that's when we're at our best."
NOTES: Bucks F Mirza Teletovic missed his second straight game as he recovers from a concussion. ... Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy wants his team to show more consistent effort, even when they get frustrated over how the game is unfolding. "There's all kinds of reasons to get frustrated," he said. "Bottom line is you're getting a lot of money to play a game. You need to play every possession as hard as you can." ... Bucks coach Jason Kidd said he's not considering a lineup change despite the team's 4-7 record over the previous 11 games. "We feel very comfortable with our starting group," he said. ... Detroit held 14 of 17 opponents to fewer than 100 points at The Palace this season. ... The Bucks were averaging 50.3 points in the paint, second-best in the league. ... The Pistons fell to 0-16 when trailing at halftime.
