Celtics 109, Magic 92: Rajon Rondo recorded 13 points, 15 assists and seven rebounds as Boston pulled away from visiting Orlando in the second half.

Brandon Bass contributed 18 points off the bench while Jared Sullinger and Jeff Green each added 16 as the Celtics defeated the Magic for the eighth straight time at home. Kelly Olynyk chipped in with 15 points and Tyler Zeller had 10 for Boston, which shot 55 percent from the field.

Nikola Vucevic led the way with 18 points and 13 rebounds while Tobias Harris scored 17 as Orlando lost for the fourth time in five contests. Channing Frye and Evan Fournier each scored 13 points and Kyle O’Quinn added 11 off the bench for the Magic, who were playing their league-high 19th road game.

Vucevic scored 14 in the first half to help the Magic build a 47-37 lead before the Celtics drained five 3-pointers – two each by Green and Olynyk – to battle their way back in front 56-53 at intermission. Green’s three-point play with 55.6 seconds left in the third pushed the lead to eight and Boston settled for a 78-73 edge going to the fourth.

The Celtics scored nine of the first 11 points in the final quarter, capped by a fast-break dunk from Evan Turner, to extend their lead to 87-75. Orlando pulled within seven, but Bass scored six during a quick 10-2 run to increase the lead to 15 with 4:11 left and Boston was on its way to a second straight win.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Sullinger was 6-of-31 from the field and scored a total of 15 points over his previous four games. … Fournier saw his streak of making at least one 3-pointer in 32 straight games come to an end after going 0-of-3 from behind the arc. … Boston outscored the Magic 50-24 off the bench.
