Pacers 86, Wizards 82: Roy Hibbert scored a season-high 28 points to go with nine rebounds as host Indiana edged Washington to even the Eastern Conference semifinals at a game apiece.

Hibbert, who went scoreless in three of the last four postseason games, was 10-of-13 from the field and 8-of-8 from the line for the Pacers. George Hill added 14 points and Lance Stephenson collected 12 points, seven rebounds and five assists while David West closed out his nine-point effort with two free throws with 10.1 seconds left to seal it for Indiana.

Marcin Gortat recorded 21 points and 11 rebounds and Bradley Beal scored 17 for the Wizards, who host Game 3 on Friday. Nene added 14 points but John Wall was held to six on 2-of-13 shooting for Washington.

Hibbert’s pick-and-roll layup cut it to a one-point deficit and Hill scored in transition to put the Pacers on top before Paul George’s dunk capped the 6-0 burst and made it 80-77 with 3:38 left. Hill stole the ball from Wall with 42 seconds left and Stephenson buried a long jumper at the other end to make it a five-point gap as Indiana closed it out.

The Wizards held a 49-43 lead less than a minute into the third quarter before the Pacers took off on a 20-7 run capped by Stephenson’s 3-pointer with 3:55 left in the period. Washington cut the deficit to 68-64 entering the fourth and stormed back for a 77-74 lead with 5:01 left before Indiana regained control.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Pacers C Andrew Bynum (knees), who played a total of two games after being picked up on Feb. 1, has been officially ruled out for the remainder of the playoffs. … Hibbert totaled 37 points in the first eight playoff games and went without a point or a rebound in Game 1. … The Wizards went 5-of-21 from 3-point range after hitting 10-of-16 in Game 1.
