Suns 98, Pistons 92: Eric Bledsoe scored 15 of his 23 points in the final quarter and Goran Dragic added 20 points as host Phoenix handed Detroit its 12th consecutive road loss.

Markieff Morris had 16 points and eight rebounds and P.J. Tucker added 13 points as the Suns moved within a half-game of eighth-place Memphis in the Western Conference playoff race. Gerald Green tallied 12 points and Miles Plumlee added 11.

Rodney Stuckey scored 23 points and Greg Monroe had 16 points and eight rebounds for the Pistons, who were a porous 10-of-26 from the free-throw line. Josh Smith had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Andre Drummond contributed 13 points and 16 rebounds as Detroit lost for the 14th time in 17 games.

Bledsoe drained a 3-pointer with 3:22 remaining to give the Suns an 89-86 lead and his driving basket with 48.4 seconds left gave Phoenix a five-point edge. He added two free throws to make it 97-90 with 30.5 seconds to go and the Suns finished it off to improve to 24-13 at home.

Phoenix led 51-50 at halftime and opened the third quarter with a 14-3 burst to take a 12-point lead. The Pistons rolled off 10 straight later in the period to tie the contest before trailing 73-71 heading into the fourth quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Drummond was 5-of-7 from the field and played 36 minutes after being cleared to play earlier in the day, stemming from a neck injury that caused a one-game absence. … The Suns had just four offensive rebounds and lost the battle of the boards, 53-39. … Smith missed all eight of his free-throw attempts and is 6-of-25 over the last six games.
