76ers 123, Rockets 117 (OT): James Anderson scored a career-best 36 points and went 6-for-8 from 3-point range as Philadelphia rallied to defeat visiting Houston.

Evan Turner scored 23 points, Tony Wroten had 18 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds in place of injured Michael Carter-Williams (arch) and Spencer Hawes added 18 points and nine rebounds for the 76ers. Hawes’ put-back dunk with 34.9 seconds left in overtime put Philadelphia ahead for good.

Jeremy Lin had 34 points and 12 assists and tied a franchise-record with nine 3-pointers for the Rockets, who were without leading scorer James Harden (foot). Dwight Howard had 23 points, 15 rebounds and six blocked shots and Chandler Parsons scored 22 points.

Houston led by nine points with 5:22 remaining in regulation before the 76ers went on a 12-3 run and tied the score at 103 on Wroten’s driving basket. A free throw by Parsons with 48.2 seconds left put Houston back ahead and Patrick Beverley made two with 18.2 seconds to go before Anderson drained the overtime-forcing 3-pointer with 6.6 seconds remaining.

Anderson had 15 first-half points as the 76ers led 60-57 at the break. Parsons scored 11 points in the third quarter as the Rockets outscored Philadelphia 33-20 to take a 10-point lead into the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: According to Elias Sports Bureau, Wroten is the first player since starts were first tracked in 1970 to record a triple-double in his first career start. ... Anderson made 12-of-16 shots, including all six free-throw attempts. His previous career high was 19 points, set for San Antonio against Golden State late in the 2011-12 campaign. … Philadelphia had a 27-10 edge in fast-break points.
