Jon Leuer added 11 points off the bench and Austin Daye contributed 10 for the Grizzlies, who have won six of seven overall and pulled within a half-game of third-place Denver in the Western Conference playoff race.
Kemba Walker scored 19 and Gerald Henderson added 13 for Charlotte, which dropped its 13th straight road game and has lost three straight meetings with Memphis.
The Grizzlies took command when Marc Gasol and Ed Davis combined to score the last seven points of the first quarter to open a nine-point lead, and Memphis maintained that cushion with a 49-40 halftime advantage.
Charlotte closed within 63-57 heading into the fourth, but the Grizzlies turned up the defensive intensity in the final period, holding the Bobcats scoreless for four minutes while stretching it out to 78-60 and cruising from there.
