Pacers 114, Hawks 103: Paul George scored 29 points to lead seven players in double figures as Indiana extended its home winning streak to 15 games with a rare victory over Atlanta.
David West and George Hill each scored 15 points and Lance Stephenson added 14 to help the Pacers come out victorious in the middle game of the NBA’s only back-to-back-to-back set this season. The streak is the Pacers’ longest at Bankers Life Fieldhouse since capturing 25 straight during the 1999-00 season.
Jeff Teague scored 24 points and Al Horford had 15 for the Hawks, who had won four straight in the series and 13 of 15 meetings.
Things were tight until the third quarter, when the Pacers gained some separation. After Horford pulled the Hawks to within 69-66, Indiana closed the frame on a 12-4 run capped by West’s mid-range jumper for the 81-70 lead heading into the fourth.
The Hawks only managed to close within eight points the rest of the way. Stephenson made a layup and Hill nailed a three-pointer to push the Pacers’ lead out to 100-84 with 6:30 remaining.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Devin Harris (foot) and Zaza Pachulia (Achilles) did not make the trip for the Hawks. It marked the third straight game missed by Pachulia, and the second for Harris. … Indiana improved to 20-3 at home on the season. … The Pacers face the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday to complete their set of three games in as many days.
