Mariners 4, Astros 2: Michael Saunders snapped a tie with a two-run double in the seventh inning - Seattle's only hit - as the visiting Mariners extended their season-best winning streak to five games.

Seattle, which had its 23-game home run streak snapped, erased a 2-0 deficit in the sixth inning as Nick Franklin lifted a sacrifice fly and Brad Miller scored on a passed ball.

Erik Bedard (3-7) suffered his fourth straight loss despite striking out 10 over 6 1/3 hitless innings as he yielded three runs - one earned - and issued five walks. Matt Dominguez went 2-for-3 and scored a run while Jose Altuve and Jason Castro each had an RBI for the Astros, who have lost seven of eight.

Hisashi Iwakuma (9-4) allowed two runs and seven hits in seven innings en route to his second straight victory following a five-start winless stretch. Charlie Furbush struck out two in a perfect eighth and Tom Wilhelmsen worked around a walk in the ninth for his 21st save.

Justin Smoak began the winning rally in the seventh by drawing a one-out walk from Bedard, who immediately gave way to Jose Cisnero. Rookie Mike Zunino was issued a two-out free pass before Saunders broke a 2-2 deadlock with his double to center field.
