Astros 10, White Sox 8: Matt Dominguez and Chris Carter hit back-to-back solo home runs with two outs in the ninth inning to break a tie as visiting Houston prevailed after blowing a five-run lead.

The outburst came against Addison Reed (5-2), who entered the game with a 13-inning scoreless streak. Carter homered twice among his three hits and had four RBIs, Brett Wallace also went deep and American League Player of the Week Jason Castro set a franchise single-season record for catchers with his 18th of the campaign.

Rookie David Martinez (1-0) earned his first major-league victory after allowing three runs and five hits in 2 2/3 innings while Jordan Lyles struck out Avasail Garcia with the bases loaded in the ninth for his first major-league save. Carter's two-run homer gave the Astros a 6-1 lead in the fifth and his RBI single made it 8-8 in the seventh.

Adam Dunn hit his 30th home run, while Jeff Keppinger and Josh Phegley had two hits, two runs and an RBI apiece for the White Sox, who lost for the second time in 10 games. Alejandro De Aza had four hits as Chicago lost for the fourth time in five meetings with Houston this season.

The White Sox trailed 7-3 before Paul Konerko led off the sixth inning with a walk and Dunn followed with a blast well into the seats in right - the 436th of his career. Phegley delivered an RBI single before Dayan Viciedo scored on a balk and De Aza put Chicago ahead with a run-scoring single.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Houston rookie Brett Oberholtzer yielded five runs (four earned) and eight hits in 5 1/3 innings as his ERA rose from 1.69 to 2.53 in five career starts while Chicago rookie Andre Rienzo allowed seven runs (five earned) and nine hits in six innings. ... Castro, who went 2-for-4, was honored for going 9-for-17 with three home runs, two doubles, a triple and five RBIs last week. Monday's homer allowed him to surpass John Bateman (1966) for the club mark for catchers. ... Robbie Grossman went 1-for-5 to extend his hitting streak to 13 games - longest by an Astro this season.
