Phillies 8, Mets 2: Ty Wigginton drove in four runs and broke open the game with a bases-loaded double in the five-run eighth inning to help the Phillies break out of an offensive slump and salvage the final game of the three-game series.
Ruben Tejada's throwing error kept the Phillies' half of the eighth alive, leading to five unearned runs.
The Mets took a 2-0 lead on Ike Davis' two-run homer in the first against Cole Hamels. It was Davis' first home run since May 6, 2011.
Hamels (1-1) didn't allow much more, though, giving up only two runs on six hits over seven innings. He struck out 10.
Mets starter Mike Pelfrey matched Hamels for six innings, giving up one run on eight hits, but the Phillies rallied for two runs against reliever Ramon Ramirez (1-1) in the seventh and blew it open in the eighth.
