Adam Lowry notched the game-winning goal 1:39 into overtime as the Winnipeg Jets won their fourth straight game, topping the host Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 on Wednesday night.
Each team had scoring opportunities in the extra session, but a turnover by Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman sent Vladislav Namestnikov back the other way.
Neal Pionk slid a pass over to Lowry, who buried his third goal past goaltender Jonas Johansson as Winnipeg won for the seventh time in eight games (7-1-0).
Josh Morrissey produced a goal and an assist and Mark Scheifele also scored for the Jets. After sitting out the finale of Winnipeg's five-game homestand on Saturday, goaltender Connor Hellebuyck was back in the crease and stopped 29 shots.
In their past 14 outings, the Jets are 10-2-2.
Steven Stamkos netted a power-play goal and Brayden Point also hit the net for the Lightning, who are 3-3-1 in their past seven games and 5-4-2 this month.
Making his seventh consecutive start, Johansson stopped 29 of 32 shots, but Tampa Bay had its three-game winning streak broken.
In an action-filled first period, the Lightning's Brandon Hagel -- who scored the game-winner against the Boston Bruins in overtime on Monday -- had the first great scoring chance on a similar breakaway that Hellebuyck stuffed at 4:32.
Less than a minute later, Winnipeg put pressure on Johansson and it paid off with Morrissey's third goal. The defenseman finished off a long rebound on fellow blue-liner Dylan DeMelo's heavy shot.
The visitors padded it to 2-0 on the night's first power play after the Lightning's Mikhail Sergachev went off for hooking at 11:28 of the first.
Morrissey was at the center of the scoring again, sending a long point shot that Scheifele redirected past Johansson for his seventh tally -- the second-highest total on the team -- at 13:06.
Five minutes later, Stamkos' 198th career power-play goal made it 2-1. The Lightning captain converted a one-timer to break a tie with Jarome Iginla for 21st place in all-time power-play goals in NHL history.
In the second, a mad scrum ensued around Hellebuyck during one Lightning possession, and Point soon deposited his eighth goal at 6:13 to tie the score at 2-2.
