Rhamondre Stevenson ran for three touchdowns in his first game of the season as No. 24 Oklahoma blew out Texas Tech 62-28 at Lubbock, Texas.

Stevenson was coming off a six-game suspension after reportedly testing positive for marijuana before last season's Peach Bowl.

But he picked up right where he left out -- with a touchdown run.

Stevenson's first carry went for a 6-yard score to tie it up nearly 10 minutes into the game. His last carry of 2019 was a touchdown run as well, the overtime game-winner in the Big 12 Championship Game.

Stevenson wasn't the only new face making plays for Oklahoma.

Defensive end Ronnie Perkins was among the three suspended Sooners and quickly proved a disruptive force, tipping Henri Colombi's first-quarter pass that wound up being intercepted by Tre Norwood.

It was the first of two Norwood interceptions in the quarter.

While Norwood had played in the season's first five games, he was making his first start since the final game of the 2018 season. Norwood missed all of last season after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament before the season.

Norwood's first interception came just moments after Stevenson's first touchdown and two plays later -- just 27 seconds after the Sooners had tied it -- Oklahoma was ahead.

After a rough start, the Sooners' offense scored touchdowns on six consecutive drives while the defense held the Red Raiders without a score for six consecutive to put the game out of reach before halftime, 48-14.

Spencer Rattler was 21 of 30 for 288 yards and two touchdowns for the Sooners (4-2, 3-2 Big 12). After leading yet another touchdown drive to start the third quarter, Rattler gave way to backup Tanner Mordecai.

In his second start for the Red Raiders (2-4, 1-4), Colombi was 15 of 28 for 227 yards and two touchdowns.

Stevenson ran for 87 yards as the Sooners averaged a season-best 5.5 yards per carry.
