Matt Bradley scored and Paris Austin each scored 18 points, and Cal held Stanford to 32.1 percent shooting from the floor en route to a 63-51 win in their first-round game of the Pac-12 tournament Wednesday in Las Vegas.

With the exception of a tie at 5:22 left in the first half, the 10th-seeded Golden Bears (14-18) led No. 7 seed Stanford (20-12) throughout. A 13-3 run carrying Cal into halftime proved insurmountable for the Cardinal, who never got within fewer than six points in the second half.

Stanford scored its second-fewest points of the season, and the lowest came in a 52-50 loss on Jan. 26, also to Cal.

Daejon Davis led Stanford with 16 points, but shot just 5-of-14 from the floor. Bryce Wills added 10 points despite shooting only 3-of-9 from the field.

Cal played its best defense against Oscar Da Silva, however, holding the big man to just four points on 2-of-11 shooting. The output fell 12 points shy of Da Silva's season average and marked his season low in scoring.

The Golden Bears' duo of Bradley and Austin, meanwhile, combined for 12 made field goals -- just five fewer than Cal allowed Stanford's entire team. Austin also went 8-of-9 from the free throw line, part of the team's 16-of-20 performance at the line.

Kareem South added 15 points for Cal.

The Golden Bears advance to face second-seeded UCLA in Thursday's quarterfinal, which will be played without a live audience. The Pac-12 Conference announced fans would not be allowed into the venue as a preventive measure against COVID-19, the novel coronavirus.

Cal and UCLA played just once in the regular season, a 50-40 Bruins win in Los Angeles on Jan. 19. The Golden Bears were held to their lowest score in more than 30 years.
