Freshman Drew Timme scored 20 points and No. 2 Gonzaga sank 14 of its first 15 shots en route to a 90-60 road win over Saint Mary's on Saturday night in Moraga, Calif.
The victory was Gonzaga's 17th straight overall, its 38th consecutive regular-season West Coast Conference win, and its 37 straight conference road win.
Gonzaga (25-1, 11-0) shot 74.1 percent overall (20 of 27) in the first half and finished the game at 67.9 percent after going 36 of 53 from the field.
Joel Ayayi started the scoring by connecting on a 3-pointer, his only basket of the game. Moments later, the Bulldogs stunned the Gaels (20-6, 7-4), going on a 27-6 run. The only field-goal miss in nearly 13 minutes was a Corey Kispert 3-point attempt.
By the time Gonzaga missed a second field-goal attempt, a layup try by Filip Petrusev, the Bulldogs had built a 34-14 lead.
The Bulldogs got a big boost with the return of Killian Tillie, who had missed the past two games with an ankle injury. Tillie was active early and scored 19 points.
The 6-foot-10 Timme, who started while Tillie was out, came off the bench to raise his scoring average into double digits, giving the Bulldogs seven players averaging more than 10 points.
Petrusev shot eight of 11 and finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Jordan Ford led the Gaels with 23 points and five boards. Malik Fitts chipped in with 12 points.
Admon Gilder's corner 3 as the first-half buzzer sounded gave the Bulldogs a 53-28 halftime lead.
The Gaels played better on offense to start the second half and cut their deficit to 17 on Ford's layup.
But the Saint Mary's defense didn't have an answer on the perimeter or the paint as the Bulldogs built their advantage back to 27 at 75-48.
The lead swelled to 30 on a 3-pointer by Tillie with 6:29 left.
