No. 10 Utah 67, USC 39: Jakob Poeltl missed only one shot en route to 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the Utes wrapped up their trip to Los Angeles with a dominant victory.

Poeltl was 6-of-7 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line for Utah (17-4, 7-2 Pac-12), which led 32-12 at halftime and extended its advantage to 43-14 early in the second half in rebounding emphatically from Thursday's loss at UCLA. Delon Wright chipped in 11 points for the Utes, while Jordan Loveridge had 10.

USC (9-12, 1-8) lost for the eighth time in nine games despite 11 points off the bench from Malik Martin. The Trojans' top three scorers on the season - Nikola Jovanovic, Jordan McLaughlin and Katin Reinhardt - combined for nine points on 4-of-20 shooting with seven turnovers.

Utah held USC to 5-of-26 shooting in the first half, while the Trojans had one assist versus 10 turnovers in the opening 20 minutes. The performance marked the fewest points allowed in the first half since Larry Krystkowiak became Utes coach prior to the 2011-12 season and the fewest the Trojans had scored in any half since the 1996-97 campaign.

USC did not surpass 15 points until less than 15 minutes remained in the contest, although Martin's 3-pointer did spark the team on a 13-1 run before Utah took control for good. The Utes finished 4-of-20 from 3-point range but made up for it by hitting 13-of-15 foul shots and dominating the boards, 39-26.

GAME NOTEBOOK: McLaughlin was 0-of-7 and did not score. He has missed 29 of his last 34 3-pointers. ... USC finished with more turnovers (15) than field goals (13).
