Boris Bojanovsky and Devon Bookert each scored 11 points for Florida State (12-4, 3-1 ACC), which has won seven of its last eight. The Seminoles, who went 7-for-15 from 3-point range, have won three straight in conference play for the first time since February 2012.
Donnavan Kirk scored a career-high 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting and Rion Brown matched him with 21 for Miami (9-7, 1-3), which has led in the final five minutes in five of its seven losses. The rest of the team combined for just 11 points on 4-of-31 shooting.
Brown's 3-pointer with 4:07 left put the Hurricanes up 51-50 - the game's 13th lead change - but it was all Florida State from there. The Seminoles hit four straight free throws before Miller's 3-pointer made it 57-51 in the midst of a 13-0 run.
Miami beat Florida State at its own game in the first half, holding the Seminoles to 8-of-25 from the field while taking a 28-24 lead into the break. The Seminoles heated up after the break, going 13-for-21 to finish at 45.7 percent.
