North Carolina Central 82, North Carolina State 72 (OT): Jeremy Ingram scored 29 points, including the first nine points in overtime, as the Eagles posted a mild upset over the host Wolfpack.

Ingram scored all but two of his points in the second half and overtime, and Emanuel Chapman recorded 18 points, including 12 in the first half for the Eagles (3-1), who made 41-of-45 free throws. Karamo Jawara notched 12 points and eight rebounds in his first game of the season, and Alfonzo Houston had 12 points and six rebounds.

T.J. Warren registered 13 points before fouling out with 2:24 remaining in regulation for the Wolfpack (2-2). Anthony Barber poured in 22 points, and Desmond Lee had 12 points and eight rebounds.

After Ingram made 1-of-2 free throws with 11 seconds remaining in regulation, Barber found Patrick Wallace, who hit a 3-pointer on his first shot of the night with 2.7 seconds left to force overtime. Ingram responded by making four free throws and two field goals in the extra session to secure the Eagles' first win in four games with the Wolfpack.

The Wolfpack, who had never lost to a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference team, never led in the second half. They drew even on three occasions, but the Eagles, who earned their first victory over a team from the Atlantic Coast Conference, answered each time.
