Joaquim finished with a career-high 29 points – including 18 in the second half – and added 15 rebounds for Hawaii (6-5).
The opening 20 minutes was a tale of two halves, as Marshall Henderson bookended a 22-2 run with back-to-back 3-pointers to put the Rebels up 27-7 just 11:23 into the contest. Neither team led by more than three points until Aaron Jones and Holloway hit jumpers to give the Rebels a 67-63 advantage with 2:54 left. Jones followed with an emphatic dunk and Williams a pair of easy shots off steals to complete the 10-point surge with 1:25 remaining.
