Doron Lamb had 26 points, and No. 3 Kentucky barely noticed the absence of all-SEC player Terrence Jones on Tuesday as it rolled to an 82-50 win over visiting Samford.
It marked the 41st consecutive home victory for the Wildcats, who improved to 10-1.
Jones, who averages 12.4 points and 6.2 rebounds, didn’t play because of a dislocated pinky finger. Senior Darius Miller moved into the starting lineup and responded with 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including three 3-pointers.
Lamb hit four 3-pointers as part of his big output, and freshman Anthony Davis collected a game-high 11 rebounds.
The Bulldogs (3-7), who dropped their third straight, got 11 points apiece from Drew Windler and Tyler Hood. Samford, which averages 10.3 3-pointers per game, made only 3-of-16 attempts.
Kentucky bolted to a quick 11-0 lead and Samford never got closer than eight points. The Wildcats shot 56.3 percent in the first half and led 45-22 at intermission.
